Yeah, but why did 99 have to win, too? Well, I didn't read the text of the proposition closely, in fact I read it not at all. But it was billed as blanket protection of single family homes from eminent domain for resale to private entities. Nonprofits are private entities. And in the city, tons of single fam homes are owned by absentee landlords - they need to be quashed, not protected.. Down with the state! I mean, absentee landlords!

Well, I think a lot people voted Yes on 99 as a safety measure. If BOTH had won, but 99 got more votes, then it would have superseded 98.
