I didn't. I'm not sure why. Maybe because I knew he was a goner, as he seemed doomed from the beginning (he almost died once, when Jack saved him from drowning), and his constant freak-outs and attempts to do-good, which always failed, just seemed to doom him. I think the fact that there was no one who really cared that much about him around when he died made it less emotionally wrenching...
I did cry when Claire had the baby, though. I think that has more to do with this weird thing I have wherein I cry whenever there's a birth scene in something. Whether its footage of real women giving birth, or just a birth scene in something fictional. Crazy, I know.
I wasn't really getting the whole Jack flashback stuff and how it was supposed to relate to Boone's dying...Was it just showing how Jack always refuses to give up on something even when it's the better thing to do? I dunno. I hope there's more to this marriage thing than what they showed last night.
Not that we'll find out any time soon....no new episodes until May!

I agree that the birth/death thing was forced. WE GET IT. But the baby, then the dying... I totally lost it. Granted, I'm a little emotionally wacky these days, but that doesn't completely explain the intensity of my reaction. It REALLY affected me. Hmmm.
The wedding thing left me cold. I felt like his speech at the altar was kind of pointless and weird - another example of forcing emotions where you either a) don't need to, cause we get it already or b) aren't feeling it, because of acting/writing issues, etc. I don't feel like the actress who played Sarah (Julie Bowen?) got anything important across.
But Locke! Where is Locke!

I guess we were supposd to think that the speech was leading up to him doing the right thing, and not going through with the marriage--but then it turns out that once again, he just doesn't let go...
But then again, we never heard the priest pronounce them man and wife, so maybe we haven't seen the last of that wedding scene? He's never seen wearing a ring, either, so I think the marriage must be doomed, but perhaps she's the one that leaves him...
The guy who played his best man in the beginning? He's was in "A Christmas Story." He played the kid that Ralphie eventually beats up!
Dude, sorry! But you have to know that there's no way you're going to get all the way to September without hearing about all this stuff SOMEWHERE.
Also, buy a VCR for chrissake! What are they, like 12 bucks now? And borrow my tapes of the season! GAH!

Jack's marriage is definitely doomed. Sitting by a pool with a bottle of vodka the night before you get married is really not how you express joy at impending nuptials. But what do I know?
I would be interested to see how the folks back home are handling the news of the crash - we have only seem them in the past, pre-crash. Of course, the rest of the world could be gone, maybe they're the only people left ANYWHERE!!!
Nah, that's too Cold War. Plus, the guy on the radio in the heroin plane. But still.
Unless it's a parallel universe, and their families don't even know they're gone, because in that universe, they landed safe and happy(?) in LA!
Does anyone seriously believe that we won't see ghost of X and mysterious X sightings for quite some time to come?
