I don't know about the purple light, but it's certainly as hot as a night in Spain, ain't it? I highly recommend a trip to the beach at sunset. It's a rare thing to be able to walk along Ocean Beach while the sun is going down and not run the risk of frost bite.

oh was it ever glorious! i didnt make it to the beach b/c i was too busy lounging with the cats and laughing at them. they were totally overheated and lethargic and laid around all day like limp little fur coats. it was adorable. i did go for a few walks up the harry street steps, but thats as far as I got.
