That song is one of those examples where a movie's theme song is far more memorable than the movie itself (a courtroom drama about a rape trial, starring Kirk Douglas).
One of my all-time favorite songs...EVER !! It was the first record I bought...and I played that it over and over and over... You're right though, the movie sucked, except for a very young, pretty, Christine Kaufman, who would later replace Janet Leigh as Mrs. Tony Curtis. S.
