The 1976 version of "King Kong," which you can see on AMC at 7:30am, didn't have me weeping uncontrollably at the end like Peter Jackson's version did, and it doesn't have the innovation and wonder the first version did, but it does include a scene where King Kong rips a gigantic snake into two bloody pieces, and that moment, which I witnessed as a six year old in a movie theater, scarred me for life.
